With the leaves falling, we wanted to take the time to reach out to some of our former Ski & Snowboard Club officers on how life after UVM has been treating them. To begin this epic journey into post collegiate life, first stop is Baltimore, Maryland where 2015 graduate and former SSC treasurer Thomas Linder resides far from his beloved green mountains but nestled near the sea.
SSC: Let's get the important stuff out of the way first: Favorite Ben & Jerry’s Flavor?
TL: Phish Food.
SSC: Skier or Boarder?
SSC: Favorite Apres-Shred Dining in VT?
TL: Good lawd, it has to be Mad Taco by Sugarbush - heavenly phish tacos and steak quesadillas. I went broke because of that place.
SSC: Describe the single gnarliest/most fun/epic day of shredding you had while at UVM?
TL: I was at Smuggs in lieu of my senior seminar class after a snowy night. Chowder was deep and steep bb [baby]!
SSC: If you could come back to VT and ski one run at any mountain, which would it be?
TL: Any woods run at Smuggs.
SSC: Which SSC Trip is your favorite & why?
TL: Mt. Bachelor (Spring Break 2015). Awesome town, unlimited bacon in the morning, countless breweries, and of course an EPIC mountain.
SSC: Biggest Shredding highlight since graduation?
TL: Wake surfing Lake Champlain.
SSC: Give your best shredding advice to an incoming out-of-state freshman?
TL: Go as fast and hard as possible. If you don’t you’ll break something. ❄
